Irochka Slobodianiuk
Born and raised in Vinnytsia, Irina is one of the youngest members of the KM by LANGE family and works as a pattern maker. Drawn to fashion since childhood, she grew up imagining garments from pieces of fabric she found at home, fascinated by the way an idea transforms into something dimensional and alive through construction and detail. She carries a subtle sense of femininity and sophistication, qualities that naturally shape both her work and personal perspective. Balancing creativity with precision, Irina is drawn to thoughtful construction, timeless silhouettes, and clothing that transforms the way a woman carries herself.
Irochka, describe yourself in 3 words?
It's difficult to describe oneself, but I'll try. I think words like discipline, sensuality, positivity suits me best. That's how I see myself.
Why did you choose this profession and what was the significant moment when the choice fell on a pattern maker?
Like every girl since childhood, I enjoyed dressing up my dolls, choosing the most beautiful and colorful pieces of fabric for them that were in our house. The boundlessness of imagination is what I like most. I adore looking at a piece of fabric and already envisioning in my mind what will come out of it.
Who would you be if you had chosen another profession?
It's hard to say, perhaps it would be something radically different. I really like mathematics and precise calculations. Therefore, perhaps I would be involved in accounting or the IT sphere.
What does femininity mean to you?
Femininity is the ability to remind the world of love and beauty around you. With beautiful dresses and delicate textures, I enjoy seeing how a woman transforms. How her gaze changes, her posture adjusts, and her movements become fragile and graceful. All this is femininity to me.
What are your priorities?
Priorities at work are precision and speed. It's very important to have a complete understanding with the designer. To hear him and bring the boldest ideas to life.
What is your favorite color?
All shades of blue.
What is your favorite cut?
Cut, I don't like overly voluminous things, personally I get lost in them. More feminine and classic combinations, that's my choice...
What is your preferred style?
At the moment, I prefer convenience and comfort. Not complicated combinations, so to speak, both in feast and in fight.
What is your favorite moment in the creation process?
Sketching, when the dress comes to life on paper.
What is your favorite movie?
Breakfast at Tiffany's, especially Audrey Hepburn in this movie.
What is your favorite book?
The Master and Margarita
What do you dream for?
For peace to come to my beloved Ukraine!
