Irina is the hands behind the more structured and timeless side of KM by LANGE. With 22 years of experience in pattern making and garment construction, she brings precision, patience and a deep understanding of form to every piece she creates.
Her work is rooted in the art of construction, where clean lines, balanced proportions and meticulous attention to detail are essential. From tailored jackets and suits to garments that celebrate the female silhouette, Iryna transforms design ideas into pieces defined by structure, clarity and understated elegance.
Calm, meticulous and dedicated, she finds fulfilment in seeing a garment come to life and knowing that every detail has found its place. For her, craftsmanship is not simply about technique, but about the satisfaction of creating something beautiful, thoughtfully made and built to last.
We asked Irina about her inspirations, her creative rituals and the little things that make her who she is.
Describe yourself in three words.
Calm, meticulous, hardworking.
What would you be doing if you weren't a pattern maker and garment constructor?
I'm interested in psychology, although I've never seriously considered pursuing another profession.
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
The final stage of making a garment, when you can see the finished result and feel happy with what you've created.
And the least enjoyable part?
There isn't one. I find every stage interesting.
What's your favourite colour?
I absolutely love light blue.
What is your favourite type of garment to make?
Special-occasion dresses for children bring me a lot of joy and wonderful emotions. I also love corsets because they elegantly accentuate the female figure.
What's your favourite fabric and texture?
Velvet, with its incredible texture.
Oversize or slim fit?
Slim fit.
Heels or flats?
Heels.
Music or silence while you work?
Music, always.
What's your favourite film and book?
My favourite book is Life on Loan by Erich Maria Remarque. As for films, I love The Last Wish and The Devil Wears Prada.
What's your favourite time of day?
Evening. I love watching the sunset.
What's one dream you'd love to fulfil?
To visit La Galerie Dior in Paris.
